NYCHA Redhook Senior Center Building 27, 120 West 9th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231

The original facility (nursery school) at Red Hook East Houses was damaged during Superstorm Sandy. The entire building received new finishes, fixtures, appliances, lighting electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems to service the new need of the occupants. The renovation transformed the facility from servicing the youngest guests to the most senior.

Planning

Scope of work included:
– Design of commercial kitchen including, make up air unit, kitchen exhaust, ductwork, Ansul system and controls.
– New variable volume and constant volume gas fired roof top unit, associated ductwork, VAV’s, diffusers and controls.
– New ventilation system
– New toilets and kitchen
– Electrical and fire alarm systems
