NYCHA Isaacs Houses South and North Utility Buildings Restoration Associated with Sandy Recovery Program, 1800 First Avenue, New York, NY

The project is inside Stanley M. Isaacs Houses public housing project located between 93rd and 95th Streets, stretching from 1st Avenue to the FDR Drive.
The work includes construction of two new utility buildings housing electrical generators, new underground utility vault and new electrical room. Exterior site work includes new parking, sidewalks, site lighting, new trees and shrubs screening and trenching for electrical cables and gas piping.

Planning

Two-story North Building #5 is situated on the north-west side of lot facing First Avenue. One story South Building #6 is at south east corner facing F. D. Roosevelt Drive.
Steel frame buildings exterior elevations are provided with insulated metal panels with decorative perforations. Custom perforation patterns of trees will be provided on all exterior walls to evoke the natural environment.
